Why Would New Furrion RV AC Unit Leak Fluid into RV After Install

Updated 04/23/2025 | Published 04/20/2025

Question:

I just got an furion ac from you recently. I got it hooked up a few days ago and now its freezing up and leaking water in my trailer. Is this a common problem with your products

Hey Robert, what is most likely going on is that your drain line is clogged and is preventing the condensation from being able to drain from the unit and is then in turn making the water leak into your RV. This problem is not a common problem for us as it's not an issue we can control.

No the line was cleared before install. The reason it was leaking is because the whole thing was frozen up. When my a/c guy gets here this evening we know for sure if it's yalls fault or mine

@Robert Usually when they freeze up it's due to lack of air flow to the coils from a dirty air filter. That seems impossible on a new AC unit so I wouldn't anticipate that but I am curious what your AC guy finds.

@JamesonC so the compressor is not shutting off due to the fact that I had to use the original control box because despite this picture showing it came with everything it only had the rooftop unit when it got delivered.

@Robert Looks like you ordered the # FR26TD which I can't find any reference or pictures that indicate it came with a lower assembly. Looks like you ordered a Coleman adapter though so did using that to connect to your Coleman unit create the issue you think?
