Why Would There Be Check Engine Light After Install of Trailer Wiring 2011 Honda Odyssey

Question:
I just installed the Curt wiring harness 56378 on my 2011 Honda Odyssey, after starting the vehicle, theres a check engine light and traction control light on. I inspected the harness for any damage or discrepancies and installed the ground to bare metal. Not sure why Im having this issue, please advise.

Hey Lucas, that's no good! Did you check and make sure all of the fuses were installed in the correct location? I would check that and then if that persists try removing the kit entirely to see if the problems go away to make sure the problem is the harness.
Sometimes issues like this are simply that the connectors aren't seating properly and removing and reinstalling the kit takes care of everything so you might also try that.
