Looking For Ramp Spring For 2989 Bumper Pull 2 Horse Trailer Ramp
Updated 04/09/2025 | Published 04/07/2025 >
Question:
I have a 1989 bumper pull 2 horse ramp trailer. At my age the ramp is too heavy to lift. Which product do I need and do I need both sides installed? I need a cable to be detachable if ramp is down due to risk to horses. Thanks

Hello Maureen, thanks for reaching out. We may have a ramp spring assembly that will work for you, but there is no way to look up your trailer to know which one will work. I would need to know the width of the ramp, as well as the approximate weight of the ramp. You may be to do a single spring depending on what size door you are working with. The cable would not be detachable though. They would be very much permanent.
Let me know those specs for your ramp and I am happy to look into it and make a recommendation.

Thank you I will get that information in a day or 2. I may have to rethink it because horses scurry around often when loading and that cable is a disaster about to happen. I was looking for the possibility of detaching the cables at the end of the ramp on each side loading the horse then reattaching them to lift the ramp. Anyway I'll get back to you thank you for this info. Maureen
