Question:
Disc brake actuator to replace an Atwood 82543 drum actuator discontinued. I want to replace the surge braking system on my ShoreLandr tandem axle boat trailer with 14 inch wheels. What combination of actuator and rotors/calipers will work best? Thanks!

Hey Wesley, thanks for reaching out!
I recommend pairing the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout # DM62VR along with the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit # DE66YR.
The Demco actuator comes with the EZ-Latch coupler system that makes hooking up to the trailer much quicker, and then the DeeMaxx brakes have a really durable Maxx coating that has an impressive salt spray rating that exceeds 1,000 hours so you'll get a LOT of life out of them - even on a boat trailer.
Check out the linked photo to see the bolt pattern of the Demco actuator to make sure this matches what you have, or you're at least able to make the pattern work on your trailer tongue.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey Wesley, how did the Demco actuator and DeeMaxx disc brake kit work out on your ShoreLandr trailer? Your update could make it easier for the next person replacing an older Atwood setup.
