Question:

Hello I am looking to get a roof rack and a roof cargo basket for my Honda CRV 2008. I need the cargo basket to transport luggage, maybe one or two bags the same size/weight that the ones that we use when are traveling. These are the different options that I have in mind: roof rack RRRVP15 cargo basket: Roof-Cargo-Carrier 59504 I am not sure if I will have any compatibility issues between the roof rack vs car vs cargo basket I would need your advice to make the right choice. The Rhino-Rack RVP Series Roof Rack, # RRRVP15, would be a great choice for your 2008 Honda CR-V. This system is quick and easy to install and attaches directly to the fixed mounting points on the roof of your vehicle.

It is recommended that you use a sealant like # LT37467 to help seal the tubes where the 2 pieces of the cargo basket connect.

The Thule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, # TH859XT, can be used with the RVP Series Roof Rack as it fits most crossbar spreads and configurations. You can also add locks # TH450400 to lock they basket to the vehicle and an extension # TH8591XT if you need more room.

To help keep your luggage clean and dry, I recommend using a bag like the Rightline Sport 2 Rooftop Cargo Bag, # RL100S20.
