Solution for 2k Rated Axle with Spindles that are Too Short to Mount Hubs

Question:
Hello due you have the axle that works with your hub assembly AKIHUB-545-2-G-EZ-2K? I bought this for a boat trailer I have and the bearing are the correct size and bolt pattern is correct but the spindle on my axle is not long enough to mount this hub. Axle details are 2x2” square axle, uses 26” center to center leaf spring, 1-1/8” spindle, original hub is 6-1/2” with a notch in it. Due you have an axle that criteria or one that matches the hub kit? Thank you

Hey John, I think I have a better solution than trying to replace the axle as we don't have any square tube axles. You could replace the spindles with the part # TRU97FR which is correct or the hub part # AKIHUB-545-2-G-EZ-2K that you have. You'd need to find a welder with jugs for installing spindles though but that shouldn't be too difficult.
