What Circuit Should LED Boat Spotlights be Wired to For Reverse Lights?
Updated 03/20/2025 | Published 03/16/2025 >
Question:
What switch do you recommend to pair with these lights? I want to mount 4 of them two each side to the lower sides of my Fifth Wheel to aid in visibility for backing into a camp site at night and into my shop for storage.

Hey Scott, since the plan is to use them for reverse lights why not wire them to the reverse light circuit of your trailer wiring so they come on automatically when needed? Is the reverse light circuit active on your trailer wiring?

Hello. It’s a fifth wheel. I’m not actually sure if it has a reverse light circuit. It does not have reverse lights. I’ll look up a schematic online. It’s a new 2024, so it should be easy enough to find. Great idea. If it will work. Thanks!
