Will Malone Channel Loader MAL48FR Work For Kayaks More Than 75 lbs?

I wanted to ask if the Maloney channel loader kayak assist would work with a RAV4 2024 hybrid and the Malone mega wing for fishing kayaks weighing more than 75 pounds. Concerns are that the back wing on the RAV4 will not support the weight of the kayak while it’s being pushed up onto the wings with some sort of assist device. Thanks!

Hello Kevin, thanks for reaching out. I really can't recommend using the Malone Channel Loader Kayak Load Assist # MAL48FR for kayaks that weigh more than 75 lbs. Malone does specify a 75 lb max capacity for the load assist, and while it may not be bearing the full 75 lbs at any given time, you would still be pushing your luck and risking damaging something.
The Malone MegaWing # MPG207 has a 150 lb capacity, so you will be well under the capacity for that, but using the load assist is not recommended.
