Troubleshooting Aggressive Trailer Brake Controller

Question:
When I step on the brake pedal the trailer brake slam on. When I check blue wire When I step on pedal test light, lights up then goings out but it I use override test light stay lit

Hey Richard, thanks for reaching out!
Have you tried adjusting the strength of the brake controller? Some controllers like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 have an internal sensor that will send the power and then back off when the brake pedal is used, and the tow vehicle isn't moving because the trailer brakes won't need power at that point in time.
When you use the manual override it sends full power so that might be why you're seeing this issue.
Let me know what controller you have and if you're testing it while sitting still or if you've taken your towing setup on the road and you're experiencing this.
