Can Truxedo Tonneau Cover From Ford F-150 Also Work On 2025 Toyota Tundra?

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/24/2025

Question:

I have a Truxedo Truxport cover model 297701 that came off my F150 and Id like to put it on my 2025 Toyota Tundra w/ the deck rail system. I know the F150 bed is about 0.4inch longer than the Tundra and the fit might not be perfect, but it looks like these clamps would work to mount the rail. Can this be confirmed?

Hello David, thanks for reaching out, and congrats on the new truck.

The clamps you mentioned, part # TX27FR are the clamps for the TruXedo # TX256001 and # TX257001 which are for the 2016-2023 Tacoma. So technically they may work for a Tundra, but this is not something I can confirm, since we have never tested this. Generally, tonneau covers are not transferrable between different makes and models of truck like this. So you can try it, but there is no guarantee things will work together.

What I suggest is a new tonneau cover for your new Tundra, such as the Access Original Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover part # A23ZA.

Hey David, what ended up happening when you tried fitting your Truxedo Truxport cover on the Tundra with the deck rail system? Knowing how the clamps lined up could really help others looking to reuse their covers between trucks.
