so i can mount it on top of the truck with its magnet when backing up to 5thwheel and remove while driving

Hey Dan, yes you can use the Swift Hitch Digital Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor # SH02Digital just like you described. You can attach the camera to the top of your truck when backing up to help make that easier and then take it off when driving. Are you having a hard time getting lined up properly with the king pin of your trailer?
