Replacement Wedge for a Dutton-Lainson Model 980 Trailer Coupler
Updated 06/10/2014 | Published 06/08/2014 >
Question:
I have a 2, Dutton-Lainson coupler that I bent the bottom plate that secures around the ball. The model number on the coupler is a 980-2. Can I buy just the lower plate or do I need to buy the entire repair kit? Either way, I dont see this model number listed for parts.

Expert Reply:
I believe the plate that you are talking about is the wedge (see photo). If not, let me know. Dutton-Lainson does not offer the wedge as a separate item, so you will want to get the repair kit, # DL13970, for your Model 980-2 trailer coupler.
