What Tracks Does The Thule Replacement Track Nut 853-2106 Work With?

Updated 02/20/2025 | Published 01/26/2025

Question:

I just bought a 2023 Coleman 1400bh camper and it apparently has Thule tracks built into the roof edges but Ive had a heck of a time finding what interfaces with them. Ive ordered rhino rack bars and feet to mount things to the roof with but need whatever nut goes in these tracks to bolt the feet to. Are these nuts, 853-2106, the correct ones? There are no openings to slot t bolts or square nuts into so I assume I need something like this to slide in and twist to allow the bolt to tighten against it, like an M lock accessory rail. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello Sam, thanks for reaching out. The Replacement Track Nut # 853-2106 is designed to work with the Thule Tracker rails, as well as most OEM roof rails. I am not sure exactly what Thule rails you have but I can provide dimension of the track nut for your to compare to your rails. Take a look at the diagram below. Also, this track nut will work with an M6 17mm bolt like part # 924-0617-15. I hope this helps and reply below with any other questions.

Thanks for your help, Jesse. I'd just like to put out the information in case anyone else ends up in my situation and confirm that these nuts do fit the Coleman 1400BH roof tracks. My buddy and I cut them out on a CNC machine and installed them this weekend. I'm not planning on removing or moving around the roof rails so we punched either side of the nuts in the track just for extra assurance that they won't go anywhere. Everything mounted up fairly easy after months of digging through specs and dimensions from a ton of sources. Hopefully someone else in the future can save themselves the headache by finding this post.
