Could Torklift PowerArmor Battery Box Charge Two 12 Volt Batteries

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/04/2025

Question:

Will this solar panel be able to maintain 2-12volt batteries wired in series? Output is for a 24 volt motor operated once a week that drains the batteries 25 when used.

Hey Steven, so the output voltage of the Torklift PowerArmor Battery Box pat # TLA7708RS can be either 6 volt or 12 volt so you'd have to wire the charger of this in parallel your batteries so that it would charge both in 12 volts since yours outputs 24 volts.

Now will this keep your batteries charged? Since this is only a 10 watt charge I would be inclined to think it would not keep your batteries topped off unless they are smaller.

Hey Steven, how did things go with the Torklift PowerArmor solar battery box and your 24-volt setup? Did the 10-watt panel give you enough charge to keep the batteries maintained between uses? Your results could help others working with similar systems.
