I Installed My New 28 Series Steps and Now They are Working in Reverse, How Do I Fix This?

Hi I just installed my new 28 series steps they are operating backwards. The original magnet switch is 10 years old the original steps were lippert 233509. Its the magnet switch type that is round and pushes into the door and the door jamb. Please let me know which switch I need thank you

Hello John,
I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your steps after getting the new ones installed. Sounds like you need a new magnet, the Replacement Magnetic Door Sensor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps - Rectangle - Black # LC369299 will correct this issue. I attached an install video where you will hear Kevin go over how it will fix the issue.

Hey John, how did things go after you swapped in the rectangular magnetic door sensor for your 28 series steps? Did it get the steps opening and closing in the right direction again? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same issue.
