i read a previous answer to the question: Recommendation for Carrying the Most Bikes on a 2008 BMW 335i Convertible Question: Hello Im looking for the best option for carrying 2 to 4 bikes 2 minimum, 3 good, 4 preferred on my 2008 BMW 335i Convertible. Thanks for any recommendations you can make. asked by: Michael Expert Reply: The best option for carrying the most bikes on your 2008 BMW 3 Series is to use a trunk mount bike rack. The most popular 3 bike model for your convertible is the Yakima KingJoe Pro, # Y02625. This is a versatile 3 bike rack that is light weight and has anti-sway cradles. My question: Considering the 2010 BMW E93 convertible has a two way opening boot lid, does the above recommendation still stand?

You can still use the Yakima KingJoe Pro, # Y02625, on a 2010 BMW 3-Series convertible. The trunk lid should open two ways to store the convertible top. You would not operate the convertible top or the trunk when the rack is installed because it can damage the rack and vehicle.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # Y02531. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
