Does Prodigy P3 Come with Everything to Install on a 2021 Chevy Colorado with Aftermarket 7-Way

Question:
I have a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado LT 4x4 V6. This truck does not have a OEM trailer brake controller or trailering package. I had U-Haul install a Curt Hitch with a 7 pin plug. I want the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Controller but am not sure if I need to purchase a wiring harness separately or not? Is there a specific wiring harness included with the controller that is specific to the wiring for my truck? Thank you for your help!

Hey Zach!
There will be some wiring under a panel on the left-hand side of your 2021 Colorado that you can hook up the universal pigtail to that comes with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. As long as the good people at U-Haul installed your 7-Way the correct way (by connecting it to OEM wiring on your truck) then this is all you'll need to do to get your brake controller up and running!
We actually were able to install the P3 on a 2022 Colorado so I'm linking that video to this page so you can follow along with Dave to see how to install the controller.

Hey Zach, how did things go getting the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 wired into your Colorado? Did the universal pigtail connect easily to the wiring under the panel? Your update could make it easier for others adding a brake controller to the same truck.
