Question:
I need to replace my BXW1500 Swaypro hitch head assembly 1500 tongue wt, but all I see is BXW4012 as replacement, 1200 tongue wt?. Is the BXW4012 to correct replacement part?

Hello Rick.
For the replacement heads for the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems, they do not have a weight rating. There is an old style head and new style (I have attached an image so you can figure out which one you need). Also, is your coupler on your trailer an underslung coupler, or your traditional style?
For Older Style:
-Traditional coupler: Replacement Head for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems - Trunnion Bar # BXW4011
-Underslung coupler: Replacement Head for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems - Underslung - Trunnion Bar # BXW4012
For New Style:
-Traditional Coupler: Replacement Head for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System w/ Pins - Trunnion Bar # BLU54XR
-Underslung coupler: Replacement Head for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Pins - Underslung - Trunnion Bar # BLU34XR
If you are not sure what kind of coupler you have, please feel free to send me a picture. I am happy to take a look at it for you.

Hey Rick, what did you find out about your trailer’s coupler—was it the underslung or traditional style? Once you confirmed that, did one of those SwayPro replacement heads end up fitting your setup? Your update could make it easier for others choosing between the old and new styles.
