Replacement Screw to Hold Shank Adapter on a Yakima Flipside, DoubleDown and StickUp Bike Rack

Updated 05/30/2014 | Published 05/29/2014

Question:

I have lost the small hex screw that secures the adapter to the mounting arm of the bike rack. I can still use the adapter by simply lining the pieces up and securing with the through bolt. When not using the rack, I have to be careful not to lose the adapter. My question is, is this a standard length and thread that I could replace from my local hardware store, or do I need to get a replacement from you? If it is a common screw, what are the specs on the screw ie #10 1inch machine bolt? Thanks for the help!!

I spoke with my contact over at Yakima HQ and found that the little screw that holds the shank adapter on is not available by itself so they suggested for you to find a screw locally. The screw is a 1/4-20 x 0.5. And it is just a steel screw.
