Can The Rails Of The Kwikee Rv Slide Out Refrigerator Tray # LC379870 Be Cut Shorter

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/22/2024

Question:

This Refridge tray is perfect for my needs with one exception. The side tracks are too long. Can they be cut to fit? I have 22inch depth, in the cabinet, so I would need to cut it down to 22. From the photos, it looks like it is just support and not part of the roller track. If so, I should be able to remove 6inch without interfering with operation. Can you verify? Many Thanks!

Hey Don,

The rails of the Kwikee RV Slide Out Refrigerator Tray # LC379870 would not be able to be cut down. When fully closed the ball bearing slides come back to the end of the rails with a stopper at the end to prevent the tray from sliding back any further. There's also latches at the front that would no longer line up and help hold the tray from constantly sliding around that wouldn't line up any more if the rails were cut. Cutting the rails would also shift the counterbalance for the weight it would be holding and would likely put too much pressure leaning forward.

You're going to need to go with a different tray that does fit the compartment space. You have a maximum depth of 22", what is your compartment's width?

Hey Don, did you get a chance to measure the compartment width so we can find a tray that fits your 22-inch depth? Once you have that info, I can help narrow down the right option.
