The Curt Hitch part # C13110 that you referenced would be the correct Class III hitch for your 2013 Lincoln MKT as long as has EcoBoost, if you do not have EcoBoost you would want the Curt Hitch part # C13000.
You can definitely use a ball mount in the rise position to give you enough rise for your trailer to be towed level. Check out the FAQ article I attached on how to pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount. Once you determine what rise you need check out the other link I attached to the right that will take you to all of the Class III ball mounts we carry so that you can pick out the correct one.
For trailer wiring I would recommend the Curt Wiring Harness part # C56095.
