Published 10/16/2024 >
Question:
We have a 1988 Kaylan Siebert trailer with 8k lb axles. We need new brakes. Looks like these are the right fit, wondering what the 4-bolt mounting pattern size is. Ours is 3 3/4 inch bolt pattern, square. Thank you

Hey Todd, there is a good chance the part # 23-403 that you referenced is the correct brake assembly for your 1988 Kaylan Siebert but due to the age of your trailer and the fact that 8k axles aren't quite as standardized as lower capacity axles I would recommend you do some measuring to be absolutely sure.
Your drum diameter should be 12-1/4 inches and the width of the current brake pads should be 3-3/8 inches.
The 4 bolt pattern of this assembly is 3-5/8 inches from left to right and then vertically 3-7/16 inches.
