Is Blue Wire on Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Supposed to Have Power with Brake Pedal Pressed

Can’t get fire from controller to trailer. Is there a tech I can talk with.Have a prodigy 2 controller. Is the blue wire from controller suppose to be hot when I press the brake?

Hey Ed, thanks for reaching out!
Yes, the Prodigy P2 # 90885 should be showing power output on the blue wire when your brake pedal is pressed, but you might not be seeing much power because your vehicle is sitting still and there is a sensor inside the controller that only sends whatever power is needed - so if you're sitting still it can tell that and won't send much power.
If you use your manual override that will send the power regardless of whether or not you're sitting still.
