Troubleshooting Brake Controller 2022 Nissan Frontier Where Override Doesn't Activate Taillights

Question:
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller installed on a 2022 Nissan Frontier with factory tow package, plug and play. Recently I had service done on the truck and now only the upper brake light displays when the override lever is applied on the controller. It does not activate my truck nor trailer brake lights. It does apply the trailer brakes properly just no brake lights except for the upper brake light on the truck cab. I step on the brake pedal and all works properly. The warranty service on the truck was replacing a full harness under the hood along with some solenoids which also had to do with brake system on the truck. All worked prior to this service. Could the the controller have gone bad as this is the second vehicle it has been on? I had the truck at the dealer to be re-checked and they said it was fine and all the correct spots were receiving the correct signals. The first was installed on a 2020 VW Tiguan and that had lighting issues that involved signal issues on the trailer when headlights were turned on. I never had any issues with the Frontier until now. I will gladly replace the controller if thats the issue. It was originally purchased from E Trailer who I trust.

Hey Scott, that has to be something to do with the work that was done on the vehicle. There must have been some type of diode that was installed on the vehicle taillights that prevents the brake controller from being able to apply voltage to those lights when the override is slid. A new controller will not change this.

Thank you Jamesonfor responding. I have had it back to the same dealer and they tested everything claiming that the signals being sent are correct. Hopefully I can trust they did what they said. I most likely will return and show them what is happening. Thank you again for your advice.
