Does 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Need Weight Distribution Towing 4,500 lb Trailer

Question:
I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 6.0L 4x4 I am purchasing a travel trailer that weighs 3500 lbs. empty and 4500 lbs. loaded do I need a weight distribution hitch.

Hey Ed, a weight distribution system isn't going to hurt but I think for a truck of your size it's not a requirement at all. Instead I would go with a suspension enhancement like the RoadActive part # RAS3611-CHD. This will get rid of any sag from the trailer's tongue weight and will also improve the ride quality loaded and unloaded.
