Question:

What kayak lift assist system can we use on a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited ? It has flush rails. I dont think Thule makes any feet compatible for the rails.

What kind of rails do you have on your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee? According to our info there are 3 different types of flush rails:

- Matte black
- Matt black and gloss black
- Black and chrome

At the very least you can install the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack # 298-SX6000B on all 3 types as a start to a lift assist, but if you can verify what you have then I can see if there is more of a custom-style for you.

One of the most universal lift assist kits we have is the Malone DownLoader # MPG114MD-351XL because the J-Style cradles mount directly to the crossbars and the lift system attaches to the cradles. Without knowing the exact flush rails you have, the combination of the Monkey Bars and the DownLoader system is the best bet that will fit.

@Carol Thanks for the feedback! In your case I recommend using the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack # TH36TG along with the Thule Hullavator # TH898 as this is a much better lift assist system than the Malone that I referenced above.
