Can The Yakima BigStack Kayak Carrier Fit The Slats Of A Front Runner Slimline Roof Rack

Is this product compatible with Front Runner Slimline rack? The slats on the slimline are 3.5inch wide x 1inch high.

Hi Trevor,
The Yakima BigStack Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # Y04041 is only good for crossbars up to 3" wide, per Yakima, so it would not be fit for the slats in your Front Runner Slimline cargo basket. The Rhino-Rack Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # S512 would be a better option since it can fit crossbars up to 3-7/8" wide x 1-1/4" tall. It's a bit bulkier than the BigStack but is foldable so you can close it up when not in use.

I'm looking to stick with Yakima systems so I can can use the same key on all carriers. Would the Jaylow be compatible on the Slimline rack (3.5" x 1")?
