Question:
Why are there two brands of seemingly identical RV bunk ladders, Surco and Stromberg Carlson. Are they the same, or is one sturdier than the other? Thanks.

I recommend the Stromberg Carlson Rv Bunk Ladder, part # LA-466B. This ladder has a weight capacity of 200 to 300 lbs. This ladder is Black in color. For the Aluminum version you would need part # LA-466. I have attached a link to a product review for the Stromberg Carlson ladder you can check out.
I spoke with my contact at Surco and found that the RV Bunk Bed Ladder, part # SP506B has a weight capacity of 200 lbs.
Both ladders have identical rung spacing at 12 inches, and both have the hardware needed for a permanent installation, or to use the included hooks that will fit over the side of the bunk bed, holding it in place.
