Could Optimate Roof Mounted Solar kit part # MA46JR Mount on Post

Question:
Is there any reason i cannot mount one of these on a post that is a support member of a RV Carport or is there some reason they must go on the roof? Our Carport has sun on the side from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM this time of year. It would be an easier install to mount on the pole and a shorter wire run. Also are these systems good for LIFEPO4? Steve

Hey Steve, there's no reason you could mount the Optimate Roof Mounted Solar kit part # MA46JR on a post like you mentioned. Basically the hardware was setup to be geared towards a roof install but if have a way to mount it on a post it would work just as fine there as it would anywhere else.
