What Is The Mounting Hole Spacing For The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch DL14725

Question:
Hello, I want to replace my Dutton-Lainson 1100A boat winch with a DL14725 2 speed winch. My question is.. do the mounting holes on the 1100 match the mounting holes on the DL14725. If not what are my options? Thank you

Hello Roger. The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL14725 is a good option for replacing your Dutton-Lainson 1100A boat winch. The mounting plate dimensions will be a little bit different than the 1100A model though, so you may need to move your mounting bolts depending on how they're positioned. The diagram below will show you the mounting plate dimensions for the # DL14725 winch so you can compare this to what you have now.

Hey Roger, how did the fit work out when you compared the mounting holes on your old 1100A to the new DL14725 winch? It’d be great to know if you had to move the bolts or if the existing setup worked. Your update could make it easier for others replacing the same winch.
