Will Thule HideAway Awning For Roof Rack Work on Trailer With Roof Rack

Question:
We have a 2022 Sunray 149 and are looking at purchasing the Thule HideAway Awning - Roof Rack Mount - Waterproof - 6 6 Long x 8 6 Wide. It has the crossbar and currently has a manual pullout awning attached. Our current awning is 8’ wide, but may be a little longer than 6.6’. Also, our trailer from the top of the crossbar to the ground is approximately 9.5’. Built similar to an R-pod, but a little taller. Do you think yours will fit as a replacement? We like the crank option.

Hey Jeff,
So long as your crossbars are spread out a minimum of 36 inches then I can't see any reason why your trailer wouldn't be able to use the roof rack mounted Thule HideAway Awning # TH490008.
The legs do have a max height of 6 feet, 6 inches, so it's going to slope down, but there will still be plenty of room hang out in the shade.

Hey Jeff, how did the Thule HideAway awning work out on your Sunray 149? I'm curious if the leg height and slope gave you the coverage you were hoping for. Your feedback could really help others with similar trailers.
