Hello Chris. There will be no need to access the computer system in your 2015 Ford F-150 in order to install the Tekonsha P3 # TK99UR brake controller. If your truck already has a 7-way, you will be able to plug the controller in using the included adapter, and no additional parts will be needed. If your truck has an OEM brake controller, it may need to be disconnected before use.

My truck has the flat 4 prong , will I have to access the computer since I don't have a 7 prong?

@JesseM Since you have only the 4-prong, you will need to install a 7-way to use the brake controller. For that I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118283. Nothing will need to be done to the computer in order to install and use this wiring kit or the brake controller. Please note that some models do have the brake (blue) and hot lead (orange or red) wires already ran from under the hood to the end of the driver's side frame rail. However, these wires are hard to access and additional wire will still be needed. Part # 118283 is still recommended.
