Question:
I see Item TRU47FR has what appears to be a removable spacer that the seal rides on. Do you sell that spacer separately? I have an old horse trailer from 1956 with the same 1.5 inch diameter spindle and it has a removable part just like yours, 1.5 inch ID on the thing the seal runs on and it is 3/8 inch wide in the direction of spindle length. I could send you pictures but this form doesnt have that capacity

While the grease seal area on the Spindle # TRU47FR is not removable it sounds like you are looking for something like the Seal Set # BB60002. This has a stainless steel ring which fits over the spindle to give it a smooth surface for the included grease seal to ride along. We also have this available in different sizes which are determined by the inner bearing size.

Hey, how did things go with the seal set you tried on your 1956 horse trailer spindle? Knowing if that stainless ring gave you the smooth surface you needed could help others working with older trailers too.
