Question:

I need a ball mount that looks mostly original OEM style for my Toyota 4runner. The 2" trailer tongue coupler is only an inch or two lower than my 4runners hitch opening. I also want to limit the rattling and movement for when I attach my cargo carrier.

Hello Lathaniel, we have just what you're looking for with our etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball # e67DR. It only has 2" of drop so that should allow your trailer to sit level; also this ball mount is ready to go and you won't have to worry about trying to install the ball and torque it down to an insane amount of torque. It's also matte black so it blends in well, and has a strong black nickel coating which protects the hitch ball more than chrome or raw.

Since you want an anti-rattle device of some sort, I recommend going with the XL Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2-1/2" Hitches - 3-1/2" Span # SHP2040-XL. You'll notice it says for 2-1/2" hitches; I'm recommending this one because Toyota hitches are known to be thicker than standard ones, so you'll want this longer anti-rattle pin instead of the standard one.
