Recommended Hitch for a 2020 Ford F-450 Cab and Chassis

Question:

how can this model hitch be for a diesel engine only? i have a 2020 f450 cab n chassis with a 7.3 gas engine and dont see what could change on the rear of the frame between a gas and a diesel.

It's either the exhaust, fuel tank, or both that causes a hitch to fit a diesel model and not a gas one. Like you said the frame wouldn't be different. Either way I checked with Torklift and I can confirm that their SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch item # TL76CR is only designed to fit the 2020 Ford F-450 cab and chassis with the diesel engines. There is no Torklift option for your gas model so you'll need to go with another hitch.

The highest capacity custom hitch we have for the 2020 Ford F-450 with a gas engine is the Curt item # C15845. This is a class V hitch with a 2-1/2" receiver. It has a 20,000 lbs towing capacity and a 2,700 lbs maximum tongue weight.

I looked up your truck's towing capacity online and it tops out at 17,500 lbs. The Curt item # C15845 will help you achieve every bit of this and save you quite a bit of money over the Torklift item # TL76CR. The drawback being you will lose the double receiver option.

You can use the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # C45405 to use 2" accessories or ball mounts with this hitch and not lose any capacity.
