Will The Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter DM6140 Work With A Demco Hijacker 5th Wheel Hitch?

I am looking at the Demco 5th wheel base rails adapter for BandW turnoverball gooseneck hitch DM6140. The video I watched said it was not compatible with the Demco hijacker which models are compatible with it? Thank You Martin M

Hello Martin, thanks for reaching out. The Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches # DM6140 will work with a Demco Hijacker hitch as long as it is not the Autoslide hitch. This adapter will work with virtually any other 5th wheel hitch from Demco, Curt, B&W, Reese and more as long as the hitch is made for the industry standard 5th wheel rails.

It also will not work with any Demco Hijacker hitch made before 2012 since those models do not fit the industry standard 5th wheel rails. So as long as you hijacker is fairly new, and it is not the autoslide, you will be good. If you want to let me know what model of hitch you have I am happy to confirm fitment.

Hey Martin, did you get a chance to check whether your Hijacker hitch is one of the newer non-Autoslide models that fit the Demco base rails adapter? Knowing how that pairing worked out could help others trying to match their hitch with the same adapter.
