Question:
If you wire the repeater directly to the terminals on the battery, won’t it have a small draw when in storage?

Yes, it will if you connect the TireMinder item # TM26FR directly to your battery. It's recommend to connect the repeater to a power wire that turns off when your vehicle or RV does. This way you don't have the power draw when your RV is in storage.
If you're mounting this on an RV you won't want it up front by your battery. You'll want to mount it towards the rear of the vehicle so you get the best signal. If you're putting it on a trailer you'll want it up by the tongue or at the rear of your tow vehicle. Either way don't connect it directly to the battery.
