Looking at the SR1020 camper roof rack. What should the bar spacings be? Is there an ideal location to install on Flagstaff MAC 206LTD?

Hello Mark. The correct crossbar spread for the SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack # SR1020 will depend on what accessories you plan to use, and the required crossbar spread for said accessory. The # SR1020 rack does have a minimum crossbar spread of 30". A lot of roof carriers will require a crossbar spread of at least 24" or 30". For example the Yakima SkyBox NX 18 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y45AV requires a crossbar spread between 24" and 36".

The ideal mounting location will depend on what you intend to carry. You will want to keep things centered on the roof of the camper, or as close to center as you can get without any potential obstructions. The picture below will show you a few examples of a good mounting location, depending on what you are carrying.
