Fit of Draw-Tite Class III Hitch 75531 on 2014 Mazda CX-9

Question:
Some of the reviews mention that there is a gap between the hitch and the frame on several installations on the Mazda CX-9. Why is there such a noticeable gap? I would hesitate to order a model that has potential fit problems. My CX-9 is a 2014. Is there a hitch that fits better than this model?

Draw-Tite Class III Hitch # 75531 is a correct fit for your 2014 Mazda CX-9. The many customers that have purchased and reviewed this item have given it a very high satisfaction rating overall, close to 5 out of 5 Stars.
Any hitch for your CX-9 will mount in the one suitable location on the vehicle frame where there is sufficient strength and the required mounting points (weld nuts secured to the frame at the factory). While there may be minor cosmetic variations from one hitch to another (such as a round tube versus a square tube design) the receiver and cross tube will essentially be in the same spot for all available Class III hitches.
