Measurements for Installing the Rack'em Double Barrel Trailer Tailgate Assist

Question:
Could you please tell me the length of the springs . I have an extended gate and I must know the length of the spring in order to position the hook on the gate.

The length of the spring or internal mechanism does not really matter. What matters is the measurement from the floor of the trailer up to the top of the mounting bracket for tailgate assist # RA-27C. The top of the bracket that attaches to the tailgate needs to be 44 inches from the trailer floor.
The main unit needs to be mounted so that the end with the chain that attaches to the tailgate is right at the end of the side rail.
