Question:
Hello, I really neeed a recommendation on a good Cargo Carrier for a new GLK. Is it better to go with a roof bag or I was considering the Transporter Combi Cargo Box. Im not sure which is the best way to go, I have no ability to install a hitch myself so I would probably need to take it someplace but would love to hear some recommendations. Thanks!

The benefit of getting a trailer hitch is that you can use it for other things such as towing if needed, bike racks, cargo carriers, and other accessories. With a roof bag it only has one function and you will have an item on the roof that you have to load and unload which can be difficult on an SUV or taller vehicles in general. And if you do not take the necessary precautions first, a bag could scratch the paint.
With a hitch mount carrier there is some extra expense but it is the safer way to carry items outside of the vehicle, it keeps the storage off the vehicle so there is no worries about scratches, and like I mentioned earlier a hitch is more versatile.
For a trailer hitch you can use Draw-Tite hitch # 75774. This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver. I have linked the instructions for you. You could then use the Yakima carrier # Y62VR. I have linked a video review of this carrier for you.
If you wanted to go with a roof mount cargo bag, then I recommend # RL100S20 that you referenced because it can be mounted to your 2014 Mercedes GLK350 if it has a roof rack or not.
I also recommend using the non-skid protective pad # RL100650 to help keep the bag in place and to protect the vehicle roof. Using a wheel step, # HE4040, will make loading and unloading the bag easier.
And for an in between recommendation, take a look at the Rightline Saddlebag, # RL100B90. It is basically a back pack for a vehicle. It will fit with or without a roof rack as well. Without a roof rack you would also need car clips, # RL100605.
