Will the Pelican Catch Classic 100 Fishing Kayak Work W/ the Yakima JayHook

Question:

Is there a certain size kayak that will fit in the J hooks? My son has a Pelican Catch Classic 100 fishing kayak. Thank you for any information.

Expert Reply:

The only thing Yakima specifies for their Yakima JayHook Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # Y04084 is that the Kayak can't weigh more than 80 lbs.

I checked the specs for the Pelican Catch Classic 100 fishing kayak and it looks like it only weighs 57 lbs so you'd be fine to use these.
