Question:

I have a 2024 Silverado 2500hd short bed. Pulling a Montana 3761fl fifth wheel. With this fit right into the puck system as I don’t believe I need a slider hitch . Thank you for any other info would be great

Yes, the Curt # C57FR you were looking at will fit directly into the puck system in your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500. You may be able to get away without a slider, but the only way to know for sure is take a few measurements off of your truck/trailer combo.

(A + B) - C = Clearance

A = Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab
B = Length of pin box arm
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half)

For an example, if the distance from the center of the hitch to the cab is 36", 36" + 22" = 58". If your 5th wheel trailer is 102" wide, take half (51"), then plug in: 58" - 51" = 7" of clearance. At least 4" of clearance is recommended to safely execute a 90 degree turn.

If you find you have less than 4" you're going to want to go with a slider hitch such as the B&W # BWRVK3775 which will fit directly into the pucks of your truck still, and won't require any adapters like the Curt Sliders would.
