Can You Add Adapter to Curt Hitch For 2008 Nissan Versa

Question:
So Ryan will this work and be safe . If I add an 300lb tongue/3500 lbs adapter to that hitch so that I can pull a small trailer which will have my 2 electric bike from Florida to Pennsylvania. Will that work? Note I have the same hitch on my 08 versa

Hello Dale,
There are no dual hitch adapters that will work with the Class I, 1-1/4" Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11348. And adapters will cut the rating of the hitch in half, so you wouldn't have enough capacity even if there was one available, as it would make the hitch have a 1,000 lb/100 tongue weight rating.
