Question:
I have a 2014 dodge minivan RT the tow package. I have a trailer with 200 pound tongue weight. How do you determine what the hitch factory installed will handle

I would start by checking the owner's manual to find the towing capacity of your vehicle. It is very unlikely they would put on a factory hitch that does not meet the towing capacity of the vehicle. You can also look at the hitch itself to see if it has a label listing the capacity. If you still can't find it I would contact a local dealer to see if they have this information available.
