Can Rooftop Tents be Used With Thule Rapid Gutter Feet

Hi, do you know if it is safe to mount thule gutter mounts 8 inch foots with wing aero blades for a 150lbs roof top tent?

Hi Mir;

Rooftop tents cannot be used on a roof rack system that uses the Rapid Gutter Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH33ZR. Tents need a roof rack where the feet are attached to either side rails or fixed mounting points.

Hi I was searching for a roof top tent for use with a 2019 wrangler 4 door with sky one touch. I have the Thule 8” rapid gutter feet with the Thule wingbar evo crossbars and I was under the impression I can have a roof top tent on gutters as long as it’s not after market gutters. Are you able to provide me with more information? Thank you for your time!

@Chris This is a great question for Jeep as they are who have weight rated the roof of your Wrangler. Our understanding is that the roof of the Wrangler is super low capacity and not ideal at all for a roof top tent but to verify that for sure would require checking with Jeep directly. I know there are some roof rack options for the Wrangler that brace from down lower on the vehicle which I believe would be more what you'd need.
