What Does the Manual Wizard Button Do on the Progressive Dynamics Power Control Center PD4135K?

Updated 07/28/2025 | Published 05/02/2024

Question:

Hello! I got some help from your experts a couple weeks ago about how to install the PD4100. I’ve had it running for a while and it’s been AMAZING!! Today when I went into the camper I noticed the DC was not working - AC just fine. The indicator light was flashing so I pressed on the “manual wizard button” and the DC started working like normal. Just wondering if you have any insight on what happened? I’m not sure what the wizard button really does.. and want to know if a problem in the wiring of the DC would trigger the indicator light to come on. It’s still on and flashes every 5 seconds. Thank you! Y’all are AMAZING!!

Welcome back! The charge wizard included with the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center item # PD4135K is only compatible with Lead Acid AGM batteries so once it's in lithium mode the charge wizard can be ignored or removed from the panel. The flashing green indicator is for charging stages:

Boost Mode: Indicated by green LED remaining on.

Normal Mode: When the battery is between 50% and 90% charged, the green LED will flash once per second.

Storage Mode: Indicated by green LED flashing every 6 - 8 seconds.

There's no cause for concern with your indicator flashing.

@Rickey Yes, it will but we are out of stock of the Progressive Dynamics PD4135K and aren't expecting to get more in. As an alternative that does not require you to replace your entire power center, you can use the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger item # PD69RR. This is a 45 amp converter charger that is compatible with Lithium and LiFePO4 batteries.
