Tekonsha Trailer Wire Harness # 119147KIT Compatibility With 2021 Audi Q5e Plug-In Hybrid

Question:

I would like to confirm that this wiring kit works with the 2021 Audi Q5e the plug-in hybrid and that the installation instructions are still relevant for that model. Im curious about the battery connection, specifically. Thank you!

Hey Kevin.

The Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector and Install Kit # 119147KIT is a universal-style trailer wiring harness that requires splicing into the factory wiring and running a separate wire to the battery for power. It's compatible with PWM and multiplex wiring, but with it being a universal-style kit they don't have model specific directions, just generic ones. the power wire for this harness would need to be ran to the positive post of the battery.

Audi Q5 2024 What are the wires I am looking for in the top bundle? Solid grey for tail Left blue with black stripe Right black with blue stripe?

@ChrisS There isn't a guide for me to know what specific wire you're looking for so you'll need to turn on the light signal you're looking for and then use a tester # PTW2993 to see with wire is hot out of the bunch.
