Hey Richard, thanks for reaching out and giving your experience!
The Timbren brand is really popular because they've built a name for themselves and while they do work, a common theme we've discovered with them is that they are too stiff, especially when the tow vehicle is unloaded. We often joke that Timbrens will either fix your back problems or give you back problems.
For a better system I recommend using air bags instead. These give you complete control over how much support the suspension enhancement provides and if you install a compressor kit with it you'll gain the ability to change that support on the fly.
If you choose to go with an air bag system I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F89VV because they have the most reliable construction on the market, and then for a compressor system (which is completely optional) the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System # AL25980 is hard to beat since it has the covered compressor and a wireless remote for easier operation.
I've attached a few videos for the air bag system for you to check out.
