Trailer Hitch For 2023 Toyota RAV4 With Best Ground Clearance For Bike Rack

Hi, I have a question with regards to the best trailer hitch for a Toyota RAV4 2023 model. From what I have been reading, most of the aftermarket hitches allow for very little ground clearance. The OEM one that Toyota installs is over $2000 so I am looking for the best alternative. What hitch will give me the best ground clearance. It is for a e-bike rack. Thanks for your help.

Hi Michelle; thanks for the question and going with the aftermarket hitch on your 2023 Toyota RAV4 is absolutely the right call. Two grand for a hitch is pretty insane, honestly, and the one with the best ground clearance is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e23ZR.

This hitch will be 9-1/2 inches from the bottom of the receiver to the ground. While not an immense amount, that will be plenty for your bike rack and bikes to stay off the ground, even on bumpy roads.
